Volunteering Opportunities

RE>BUILD has a diverse workforce of volunteers and paid staff. We offer individual and group support to all our volunteers and pride ourselves on the achievements our volunteers and staff attain on both a personal and professional level. RE>BUILD is a positive, friendly environment where individuals can build on existing skills and gain new ones, whilst gaining on the job training.

As well as training, all our volunteers are offered as many opportunities as possible including group events, meeting with the general public, other agencies and professionals. Manual Handling and Health and Safety training are very important for all our staff and volunteers to attend and these can also be beneficial for future employment. Volunteers can either receive a certificate of attendance and sometimes can gain a qualification in certain types of training (e.g. Health & Safety).

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer at RE>BUILD can telephone Wendy or Eric on 0161 764 0444 or e-mail us for an application form, or download the application form on this site and e-mail or post it back to us. On receipt of your completed application form we will apply for your references and once these are returned we will invite you to attend the volunteer induction training.  This will give you the opportunity to meet other new volunteers, existing volunteers and staff. It enables you to observe the work we do so that you can decide if this is the right place for you to volunteer. It also gives you a chance to think about which area of work you would be interested in.

Our volunteering section also runs a project called RE>BUILDING SKILLS FOR EMPLOYMENT which is a programme of support unique to Bury helping ethnic minorities into employment, in this case making a start with volunteering. If you think you qualify for this project, please apply in the same way.
